A time-honored tradition in our great Commonwealth, the 102nd Pennsylvania Farm Show begins this Saturday, January 6 with the theme “Strength in Our Diversity.” It runs until the following Saturday, January 13 at 2300 N Cameron Ave in Harrisburg. Admission is FREE and parking at Farm Complex lots is $15. The Farm Show boasts over 6,000 animals, hundreds of exhibitors and vendors and a 1,000 lb butter sculpture! It’s a bit of a drive from the Delaware Valley, but you won’t regret the trip – enjoy the beautiful farmland and countryside by taking the back route on your trip there!
The Farm Show offers fun for the whole family, with a wide variety of events occurring throughout the duration of the event. Big name Food Network Star Alex Guaranaschelli will be present doing cooking demonstrations on Sunday, January 7. Many folks will recognize her name from “Chopped” and “Iron Chef America.”
New this year is the Calving Corner, where cows will be giving birth live! What an exciting event this will be!
